I followed FreeNAS webdev configuration guide on youtube but I am unable to login into my account.

I don't know why must we have to configure password at services->webdav

1) Create volume and dataset
2) Create group storage
3) Create testing users under storage group
4) Set dataset permission to root:storage
5) Add webdab share and gave path to dataset
6) Enabled webdav
7) Changes HTTP Authentication to Basic
8) Setup password 123 (which I don't understand why should we do that)

Access http://IP:8080/storage
username: testing
password: testing

I am getting error 401 but if I use username: webdav and password: 123 then I able to login but can't upload anything because there is no folder exists for webdav.

Can anyone please help to configure user based webdav access setup.

Thank you for your reply,

Warning: at this time, only the webdav user is supported. For this reason, it is important to set a good password for this account and to only give the password to users which should have access to the WebDAV share.

I am looking for webdav solution for individual users with their own username and password to personal folder which is not supported yet in FreeNAS. Waiting for new update.

Out of curiosity, what will you be using WebDAV for?
