im trying to get webDAV shares working on FreeNAS 11.3 with no luck. (System is just working fine with SMB , SSH Shares and other Services)
So far i did these steps: (see attached pictures)
- created dataset /mnt/HDD/webdav
- created webdav share of this dataset with name webdav
- changed permissions of dataset /mnt/HDD/webdav to give user und group webdav read, write and execute access
- enabled webdav service using HTTPS
On trying to browse webDAV files via FireFox Browser i am prompted to enter user and password. Used user: webdav, pw: "my password". Afterwards "You dont have permission to access this ressource" will be displayed in the browser. (see attached picture)
On my google research i found a hint that the full path to shared dataset must have permissions set for user webdav. That would mean that not only dataset "webdav" must have the webdav user permissions but also the higher level dataset "HDD". (see structure in attached picture) Unfortunately since version 11.2 (i believe) it is not allowed to change permissions of root datasets.
Hope someone can tell me whats wrong or what i am doing wrong.
