FreeBSD Login via Print Screen Key

Western Digital Drives - The Preferred Drives of FreeNAS and TrueNAS CORE

Jan 11, 2020
Had an issue today but while hoping to find a key to stop the unreadable stream of the error messages I hit "print screen" and everything stopped the screen cleared and it asked me for the user name with FreeBSD listed at the top (no mention of FreeNAS on the screen). No matter what I typed nothing happened and I eventually had to reset the system. After it reset I hit print screen again and got the same prompt but this time I was able to log in with but I couldn't figure out how to get out without rsetting again. Hitting print screen again cleared the screen and gave me the log in prompt again, logging in then typing "exit" also returned me to the log in screen. I've been doing some searching and I can find no useful information on this functionality. Why is this here? How do I get out of it?
