Hi Guys,
Im wanting to build up a NAS, it will have fairly light duties, primarily just storing media and sharing it over CIFs to a max of a couple of computers (normally just one) and streaming to my TV. It will also be running SABnzb, sickbeard and couchpotato.
The hardware Im aiming for cheap but good, obviously hard to do.
Im planning to run the HDDs in ZFS1, Id prefer to run ZFS2 with 6drives but thats a bit pricey.

CPU: Pentium G2120 http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819116777 This is my primary concern, I could step up to an i3 2100 or similar or even up to a e3-1220/1230 but thats obviously a lot more money which Im trying to avoid
Motherboard: Supermicro X9SCL http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813182262 Would I benefit from going to a C204 motherboard or up to a newer C222/224 motherboard?
Memory: Kingston 16GB Unbuffered ECC http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820139979
Hard drives: 4x 4TB Hitachi Cool spin http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/835055-REG/Hitachi_0S03359_4TB_Internal_Hard_Drive.html
Power supply: Rosewell 450W 80plus gold http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817182066
Case: Generic case with enough internal 3.5" drive bays http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811353006

The only likely upgrades in the future might be adding an extra 4 drives and a HBA card but I dont think I will be running out of space on 12TB for a year or 2 minimum

Does anyone have any thoughts on the CPU (or anything other thoughts on the system) if you think moving up to to the xeon is worth while is the 1230 a worth while upgrade with HT or would freenas not benefit from HT?

Thanks for your help
