Hey Guys,
I am unsure which route to go, for me right now they both have their positives and negatives.
Here is what I am thinking
Intel Core i3-2120T -- Low power(35W) and also very capable --> http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115094CVF
Asus Motherboard -- 4 Sata Slots --Might change this to a board that supports raid --> http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131860
Mushkin 16GB Ram --> http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820226261
+ 2 2TB Reds and a cheap power supply.
Would the i3 be to much power for a basic File Server? The big positive on it is the 35W TDP, but if I am only going to use it as a file server with freenas it would not be worth it?
I am the kind of person that likes future proofing, hence also the 16GB ram and the option to add 2 more HD's as well as another sata card if required.
ALso whats everyone thoughts on WIndows Server?
