Hi,
Here is my question :
Can I do a firmware upgrade from 8.0.4 to 8.3.1 ?
And only by the web interface using "parameters->advanced->firmware update" ?
Without building another usb stick with the iso file.

I've got:
FreeNAS-8.0.4-RELEASE-x86 (10351)
FreeBSD 8.2-RELEASE-p6

and a lot of data, i don't want to lose !:(

Thanks for your advice.

Yes, it's just recommended to install to another stick in case there's a problem, then you can just put the original back in and boot right up to your old settings.. A failed upgrade should never cause you to lose your data. Its always a good idea to save your config/settings from the GUI, and an even better idea to run a scrub if you haven't done that recently. FreeNAS does offer a way to boot back to the pre-upgraded version, it's discussed in the manual where it talks about upgrades (Pressing F1 or F2).
