Freenas Community Elllllooo!
New here and planning to throw out my drobo once i have this beast running. I acquired this setup from a family friend since he upgraded to a 48 bay monster! I am new to most of this stuff other than building gaming pcs.
Mb: supermicro x8dt6/x8dte
case: supermicro 933 old sytle with fan voltage mod (SO much quieter)
Ram: 20442MB
cpus: intel xeon L5630
hdds: 4 6tb hgst nas
then it looks like it has a raid controller (in hba mode? i think.. IT mode)

which goes into the super sata 933 r2.1 hotswap.
SO is there any tests i should run before these hard drives finish wiping and i set them up in a raidz2?
Im reading the guides and watching videos as the drives wipe. Im actually only wiping the drives due to people saying its a good way to test... plus 3 of 4 only show up when i fire up freenas, sooo yeaaaa.
