Smartctl -a says no errors
I bet it says much more than that...

Please post the output and we'll help you to see the lines that matter.

It could be cabling, so ask yourself if you may have touched/knocked the cable doing anything recently.

I only ran the short test yesterday. I didn't get a security report today, I guess there were no errors. I did move the computer a couple of weeks ago. It's a Gen 7 Microserver, doesn't have much in the way of cables but I'll check anyway. Drive is a WD Blue 2 TB. If this isn't the info you wanted let me know and I'll try again. I'm not at all familiar with this stuff and I really don't know what I'm doing. Should I run the longer test?

So the last extended/long test you ran was when the drive was 8 hours old and you ran the last short test at 29K hours.

You could run a long test (and wait for it to finish) before looking again at the results.

So I was stupid and ran the test on the wrong drive. Here is the correct drive and I can see what looks like problems. I don't know exactly what they mean, but they're different from the other drive. These are the first two drives I put in and luckily most of what's on them was long ago copied to the WD Red drives I added later.

Yep, that's a dead (or very nearly dead) drive.
