Direct Connection from PC to Truenas server

Hi there,

I've read all the forum posts about this topic and done my best to follow them, but the issue is not resolved.

I have set a static IP for both my PC (connected to the router over Wi-fi) of 192.168.0.250 and for the NAS 192.168.0.251. The IP for my router is 192.168.0.1. When the nas is connected directly to the router via ethernet, I can access the web GUI at its IP. When I connect the NAS to my laptop directly via a cat7 ethernet cable, however, I cannot access the GUI and cannot ping the 192.168.0.251 in command prompt.

Hi there, thanks for that, I had already seen that thread though and unfortunately it did not resolve my issue. There is nowhere I can see to set the subnet mask for my NAS in the network options
