CyberPower UPS w/ Network Card and FreeNAS

Hello,

I have a question about CyberPower UPS equipped with a network interface card, I read in another post on this forum than I can put the IP address of the UPS's NIC into the "Port" drop down list in: Services -> UPS and it should work... It is the correct way to configure a network UPS with FreeNAS? Or not? I look at many post on this forums and there was different way than user setup their network UPS but theses posts seem to be old and may be no reflect more recent versions of FreeNAS.

I have the need to buy a 3000VA CyberPower UPS with a NIC but I just want to be sure than my setup will work before purchasing the UPS in question.

Works good via IP. Although I do not have the Cyberpower with a nic in it, I have a CPS UPS connected to my pfsense box and my freenas connects to that via IP, this is basically the same thing I suspect.
