Copy Jail to Another FreeNAS

Hi,

I'm new here.

I've been playing with FreeNAS for a while. More of a Linux guy so some of this BSD stuff is strange to me, particularly jails.

I've setup a PlexConnect jail to use Plex with an Apple TV. I want to do the same thing at my brothers house but dont want to start from scratch.

Question:
Is it reasonable for me to expect that a tarball of my existing PlexConnect jail would work if extracted it into a jail of the same name on my brothers NAS? No funny device links or permissions problems?

I dont see any reference to other people doing this in google searches so I might be missing something fundamental.

It "should" work, but I won't guarantee that it will. There's plenty of room for error in making sure your tarball has the right permissions and such so I wouldn't promise it.
