I have an error code on boot that says the following:

compression algorithm 39 not supported

This error stays up for 5-10 minutes, then no display, then after another 10 or so minutes it boots up TrueNas.

The only thing I have changed recently was updating to TrueNAS-SCALE-22.12.2.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5500
Memory: 16GB DDR4
Data VDEV: 1 x RAIDZ1 | 4 wide | 16 TiB Total

Any help with this issue would be appreciated.

I think that's just noise misleading you. It's just GRUB complaining for some reason I don't understand and I see it often with Linux systems with root on ZFS - and those systems don't take 10 minutes to boot.
That's not to say that the problem isn't GRUB, just that it's likely not the compression.
