I'm having a problem with getting Freenas to show up across subnets under "network" on my windows machine.
I have 2 networks 192.168.1.1/24 and 192.168.2.1/28 The Freenas sits on 192.168.2.1/28 with a static lease of 192.168.2.2 I am using pfsense as the Firewall/Router. DNS forwarder is set up in that environment as from my windows machine I can type \\freenas and get to correct share.
ie enabled "Register DHCP leases in DNS forwarder" and "Register DHCP static mappings in DNS forwarder"
The problem is I have WDtv and if I want to connect to the freenas share it must show up under the "Network" portion of my windows computer, ie Network Discovery MUST be working.
Does anyone know how to solve this issue?
