Hi everybody,
On the next few days I have the project to update my NAS running freenas (FreeNAS-8.3.0-RELEASE-p1-x64 (r12825)) from an USB key.
Actually the set up is based on an old computer case (mid tower noname) and I plan to install all the stuff into a node 304 from Fractal Design.
This upgrade invoke a replacement of my motherboard.
Question is simple : Can I do the following step withtout losing my pool ?
1. Save the configuration
2. Shut down all services
3. Detach the pool
4. Upgrading hardware
5. Re configure network (new motherboard)
6.Restore configuration
7. Re attach the volume
8. restarting services
Am I correct with this procedure ?
Thx a lot for reading me !
