I have a quick question, and couldn't find a solution by searching.
Based on this thread: http://forums.freenas.org/threads/ecc-vs-non-ecc-ram-and-zfs.15449/ I have decided to again change hardware of my FreeNAS 9.1 ZFS (5x 4TB drives) storage system from an Haswell Pentium 64bit to an actual Xeon E5 64 bit Server with ECC Ram. Is a reinstall of FREENAS on this target necessary or recommended or can I run it from the USB drive that is currently installed and have no issues?
Note: I previously migrated hardware from an older 64bit Sandy Bridge celeron with 4 gigs of RAM to a faster Haswell Pentium with 16 gigs of ram, and did not need to reinstall anything, but now it is going on server equipment, I'm unsure if I should reinstall.
Let me know if I have missed any information needed to respond and I'll try to post it quickly.
Thanks for your help!
