I believe it was version 9.2.0 that I was on before upgrading. I had no problems with using CIFS shares. After upgrading to 9.2.1.4.1 and 9.2.1.5, I've been having problems. SMB3 won't work unless the server address had the domain and SMB2 won't work with the domain and my Android devices can't connect thru CIFS anymore.
The main issue for this thread is that whether I'm accessing CIFS thru SMB2 or SMB3 from Windows 8.1, I cannot edit files. I've tried with Microsoft Word and Mp3tag and they say the files are not writable. I have to move the files to my computer locally to edit before moving them back onto the server.
