Hi,

I am getting an error adding storage to the Transimmion Jail, so that I am able to access downloads.

My config is as follows:
FreeNAS 9.2
ZFS Storage Pool
Transmission installed via plugins menu (automatic jail creation)

When I try and add storage to the jail, I get an error regarding the length of the path, as per the attached screenshot.
Transmission Storage.PNG

I am trying to set the paths up as follows:
Source: /mnt/FS_NAS/Media/Torrents
Destination: /usr/pbi/transmission-amd64/etc/transmission/home/Downloads

Please advise on how I can get around this issue...

The jail's path is added to the location provided. There is no exceeding the 88 characters. PERIOD. So you have to shorten the path somehow.

Ok, that makes sense. But given my noobishness, any advice on how to do this? Can I just change where Transmission downloads to (within the jail) to shorten the path? Something like /usr/Torrents ?

Not sure. I don't support the plugins themselves. FreeNAS owns the OS and the jail creation. But the programs themselves aren't our domain.

Try pointing the jail mount to

/media

instead of

/usr/pbi/transmission-amd64/etc/transmission/home/Downloads
