Can I switch from freenas train to freenas 11.3 stable?

hi guys ! Can I switch from freenas train to freenas 11.3 stable when the stable build comes out?
Now Current Train: FreeNAS-11-Nightlies - Nightly builds for FreeNAS 11. Development version, for testing only. [nightly]
Version: FreeNAS-11.3-MASTER-202001061419

is this possible at all and will the information not be lost?
Or with nightly you can not upgrade to stable?

you cant switch from nightly to stable trains, nightly is always newer than stable (that's the whole point), and that would be a downgrade.
you might be able to downgrade from the ISO, otherwise it should be possible to restore from nightly to a new stable install (as long as the versions isn't WAY off, like 9.10 to 11.3 or something).
upgrading trains is a one way track.

I was successfully able to switch from 11.3 nightly to 11.3RC2 by installing rc2 over the nightly install via dvd and using the preserve settings and fresh boot environment option.. we will see how it goes when its time to update again, but so far its staying on RC2 and i didn't have any issues or data/settings loss..
