Yes and no. In a rack, the box is not going to move.

A likely scenario is that when I put the chassis cover on, it pushes on the SAS cables which in turn push on the card. On this card, they come straight out the side of the card, in the direction of the chassis cover, so it isn't really possible to put the cover back on without pushing on the cables.
