Boot mirroring did not work

I am been using a 8gb scandisk FIT as the boot drive. I have used DD on initial installation.

With the release of 9.3 I have upgraded successfully. Then I bought 2x 32gb to tried out boot mirroring.

My sequence:

Single 8gb (original condition ) not issue
One 8 and one 32, the mirror process success
Reboot success
Shutdown
Remove 8
Checksum error

And so I tried many combination

Conclusion on the 8 GB boot image is working both 32 gb boot image have error.

Did I miss any things.

The next issue is, since I have been playing with 3 devices.
My boot mirroring consist of three devices

But my actual intention is to migrate to 2x 32 mirror. As I only have two sub ports.

Therefore my boot mirroring is in a permanent degraded mode

Is there a way to rectify the situation.

Personally, I'd try a fresh install of 9.3 on the 2 32GB devices (select both during install), then import your saved config and pool.

You are right that is what I intend to do next, but before embark I would to check if any one had similar issues
