Barracuda 800 (how to load FreeNAS on it)

I have a couple of retired Barracuda 800's with RAID10 disk set 4 drives.

They appear to be SATA Drives could I load FreeNAS on one of the drives and delete the RAID set out of the BIOS?

There does not appear to be a 'boot from CD-ROM' option in the bios, I plugged in a USB CD-ROM drive and the bios sees it but no boot option?

Any help/advice would be great.
