Auto-play movies to test for rip issues

I have been having issues with movies I am ripping on my Plex server. I am using DVDFab and a 2 year old LG DVD writer on a PMS. I can play most movies and they work as intended. But there are 30-40% of the movies that end up freezing or getting stuck on a specific frame. Or the audio will get out of sync once it gets frozen. I can't necessarily watch every movie to determine the issues. Is there a way to have plex or Freenas play the movies in the background and identify ones that freeze? Maybe a script that will play them in the background at night and then log which ones get frozen? Not sure if anything like that is even possible, but that would be really helpful. It is really frustrating to make popcorn, sit down in the home theater, ready to watch Pirates of the Caribbean, only to find out it freezes 30 minutes into the movie. I am using DVDFab to do a 1-to-1 rip using MKV Passthrough. Not sure if there is a better option to ensure lossless quality when ripping.
