Hello,
I have a Asus RT-N66U router, they now have this gizmo called AiCloud which allows me to access my files from outside my network.
I would like to use this, set it up, and I can see my two mac computers connected wirelessly to the router, however the freenas box, directly connected to the router (wired) is not shown.
I have shares using CIFS, AFB and NFS protocols, they all seem to be working.
I am also using this box as a timemachine backup.

My CIFS share is attached, can someone help me?

I have a similar issue. I can see the freenas NAS, but when i try to log in, it says Operation failed. It does this from inside or outside the LAN.

Its proprietary. I would never expect support.

But it appears to be an issue with freenas. The device does not appear to be able to connect. I even have trouble with PCs occasionally. I haven't updated to version 9.1 yet. I will install it and see if that fixes anything.

If you have issues with PC connectivity, then you should get that fixed first. The 2 problems probably go hand in hand.
