Hello

I've added a second HDD to my NAS (FreeNAS 9.2.1) today. Now I would like to setup something like RAID1 or similar mirroring tasks to have my data redundand (UFS, no hardware RAID). Unfortunately I couldn't find any way to do it on the GUI of FreeNAS.
Should I reinstall FreeNAS to setup Raid1? If so, what happens to my data?

Thanks for advice.

I already checked the documentation but most information is about mirroring with ZFS. The only hint I found is the following:
Supported volumes are UFS stripes (RAID0), UFS mirrors (RAID1), UFS RAID3, as well as existing ZFS pools.
But I couldn't find any information on how to setup mirroring/Raid1 for UFS volumes.

read the chapter on the volume managers...

Hint: UFS support is discontinued as well as x86 support. So you're really setting up a configuration that is already obsolete.

Thanks for the hint.
I guess I can build a workaround with rsync.
