AD to FreeNAS 9.2.1.8

I don't have enough hardware to upgrade but i am fairly happy with old version of FreeNAS.

Currently I have a Win Server 2012-R2 and Win 8.1 PC all on a Domain.

FreeNAS will not turn on the AD service. But, I have access to all FreeNAS CIFS shares on both server and PC.

So, I guess it is a useable system just not perfect.

Are there SAMBA commands that could possibly allow my FreeNAS server to join the domain?

Post the /var/log/messages errors you get when you try to join the domain.
