Active Directory and update to 9.3 STABLE from 9.1.2 - FIXED

Connecting to my active directory was a breeze with the previous version. Now, after update I can connect to the active directory, verify in shell with wbinfo -u that the active directory accounts exist, but cannot assign the permissions on the volume. Only the unix type users are available. Cannot create share with domain accounts through the wizard also.

I've asked about this before a couple of months ago but gave up and went back to 9.1.2.

Any recommendations?

Fixed it. Setting Idmap to RID fixed it for me. Be nice if this was in some type of documentation.

Idmap stuff is in the manual. The question is whether you know what Idmaps are, etc.

I'd wager you didn't understand them, hence you asking the question you did, then finding the answer like you did.
