Zabbix-agent on freenas

Hey guys,

I have looked around quite abit, but I haven't been able to find info if someone is monitoring freenas with zabbix, I've seen some beeing able to get the zabbix-agent loaded on FN while some do it over SNMP.

Anyone have any recommendations?

I'd say SNMP as it's not recommended to fiddle with the base FreeNAS install. I am not sure if you can have FreeNAS send snmp traps in case of an issue but a poll should be doable.

In this case I'd like to monitor freenas from zabbix and apart from all the default things i'd like to have zpool monitored for example so that if the pool is degraded that it would alert me :)

Seems like the freenas 11 template for Zabbix reports incorrect pool-size, but I guess i should report that on the zabbix forums :)
