Im getting a error on my Raid-z2 setup when expanding saying "
You are trying to add a virtual device consisting of 4 device(s) in a pool that has a virtual device consisting of 18 device(s)"

Is there a way to bypass this at all? Any reason why I'd be getting this error? Doesnt seem to let me continue.

Thanks!

Perhaps you could explain why you're trying to do this. This is generally very bad.

This was just happened to be split out this way so now it's just got 4 random drives not doing anything. I guess I could just make them their own?

Yes, indeed, that would be a very bad setup. Two or three vdevs would be much better for both performance and redundancy. But there still isn't a good way to add four more disks to the pool.
