None of the noted SYSTEM burn in tests In the thread linked above by @jgreco will delete existing data on the HDD's will they?

There is a hard drive testing thread around here that advocates the use of badblocks. This will delete data from your drives.

I advocate the use of solnet-array-test-v2, which is a nondestructive read-only stress test that is designed to identify performance issues, but is also great at burn-in.
