Windows Share Access Denied

Hello
New user, just installed Free NAS, using for home file sharing
Read the docs, however can not copy or add files to a windows share
No login on my laptop, mapped the share from my laptop, when copying files to the share I get the error destination folder access denied.
The doc say I need to be logged in to the laptop the same as the account created.....
Is there a way around this ???
I want to stream music and movies via sonos, iPAD and windows laptops, and XBMC
Maybe this is overkill for my intended application
Any help is much appreciated

The docs have a clear procedure for a simple share. Did that not work?
