Hi there

Am just about to pull the pin on this new build:
----------------------
MOBO: http://www.supermicro.com/products/motherboard/Xeon/D/X10SDV-12C-TLN4F.cfm
CASE: https://www.supermicro.com.tw/products/chassis/tower/721/SC721TQ-250B
RAM: Kingston 32GB DDR4 2133 Reg ECC (x2)
STORAGE DRIVES: HGST 3.5in 26.1MM 6000GB 128MB 7200RPM SAS 512E ULTRA ISE (x4)
HBA: https://www.broadcom.com/products/storage/host-bus-adapters/sas-9211-8i
----------------------

It was suggested to me to look at a newer generation HBA card (chipset) so I was thinking of substituting for the following instead:

https://www.broadcom.com/products/storage/host-bus-adapters/sas-9300-8i#specifications

Does anyone know if this card will work fine with my RAIDZ2 setup (ie. will it be able to be flashed into IT mode etc without issue)?

Thanks for the link. I had already seen this and it does indeed partially answer my question however I cannot find any reference whatsoever to flashing this card into IT mode as per my original post.

Anyone else feeling charitable to a brand new FreeNAS user?
The card is specifically mentioned in the document as being fine...

The only known-good chip is the SAS 3008 and the most popular card model is the LSI SAS 9300.
