Or is the only way to set permissions via a CLI?
I have a single freshly installed HDD, with fresh Volume created in UFS
Permission set to 777 recursive
ACL set to either Windows or UNIX, makes no difference to this issue, have tried both
New CIFS share created
Hosts allow has all the users added plus root
root,Neil,BonAir
Yet as soon as I try and access the share from Mac Finder I get a 'Permission Denied ' error
The mac users are replicated with the same names on FreeNAS
Both the disk and the share have fully open permissions for all users, so I can only assume that I am missing some setting higher up the chain, or these permissions can not be set from the WebGUI
Have tried changing settings in CIFS service settings and even via SSH but how ever I set the directories they are no longer readable by the Mac..
