Great, so if you took what you just stated and perhaps added an estimated budget; then put all that in a new thread in the [Help and Support] - [Hardware] forum I bet you will get tons of recommendations.

Lots of tech savvy contributors who love to show off their hardware expertise and enjoy the challenge of designing the best FreeNas system possible to meet budget constraints (within reason of course). :D

I stand corrected. Seems like I am a dinosaur and am thinking back to the days when Northbridge was not integrated into the CPUs... /Old man needs to get up to date... ;)
