What RAID do I use?

So tomorrow I will be setting up my new HP proliant micro server. After failing to get a copy of WHS2011 I have decided to go with FreeNAS. I am new to the home server game so would like to ask which raid I should use and how to set this up on FreeNAS. I am starting with the original installed 250GB disk and I have 2 x 3TB internal hard drives to add along with 8GB Ram and running the latest FreeNAS from a 16GB memory stick plugged into motherboard. Any advice very much appreciated.

I'd remove the 250Gb drive and run the other two in a ZFS mirror.

So ECC ram is used? For the install you want to use a USB.. Your 2x3tb can be a mirror Raidz1.. The 250gb disk i'm not sure what I would use for.. Maybe jails..

Just double checked my RAM so it looks like it's going back as it's non ECC. I Thought it was sold as ECC. This delays me a day.
