I have a CIFS share set up with ACLs managed through Windows as is normal practice.
I'd like to add in a webdav share to a folder within the shared directories to act as a storage backup for some iPhone apps, however, the webdav user and group do not appear to get exposed to Windows. Would there be any problems from adding in permissions with setfacl from the command line? Alternately, would adding the webdav user to a group that has permissions to the folder work?
EDIT: Adding webdav to a group that has permissions appears to work just fine. Had to SSH in and use command line to add since the web GUI would error out on an attempted edit.
EDIT2: If you make any edits to accounts using the GUI, you need to redo the group add.
