Hi all - I recently upgraded to Freenas 9.1.1 from the last of the 8.3 versions (forget the number). I haven't yet carried out a zpool upgrade, thinking I'll give it time to settle down before I make the commitment.

My scheduled scrub started and the output shows the following:

Code:

What's gone wrong and what do I need to fix it? I never got this error with an 8.3.x scrub.

They are warning not errors. It's complaining that you have 4K disks, but the pool is ashift=9, 512b. Assuming it's detecting the disks properly. To get rid of it you need to backup the pool, destroy the pool and recreate the pool with ashift=12, 4K.

Thanks for that. So why did this warning only start cropping up since the upgrade to 9.1.1? How do I see detailed information on the pool?

Anyway, now that I know the warnings are just warnings, I've upgraded the pool.

Had the same problem, but fortunately this was my SSD log and cache devices.
I detected lot's of errors:
kstat.zfs.misc.arcstats.l2_cksum_bad: 2634152
kstat.zfs.misc.arcstats.l2_io_error: 2222236

I removed the log and cache devices from the pool and added them again through the GUI Volume Manager.
Everything looks OK for now.
