So I want to set up VPN access for multiple users. I'll figure out the logistics of it later but my (possibly dumb) question is this:
When I get the users to log in thru VPN, will the remote access inherit the permissions I've set locally on the network? Ie, if I've given JimTheUser local network access to only be able to edit JimTheUsers folder and files, will that still be the case thru VPN?
I ask this mostly because I just did a test for similar circumstances using SSH thru WinSCP and JimTheUser could edit anything he wanted, regardless of permissions, and I can't seem to find anything that discusses how permissions work with VPN.
