Perhaps I am missing something but when I set one of my VMs to autostart when my FreeNAS server boots up it doesn't really autostart. For me the VMs will not actually boot until I connect to the console using VNC and then the boot sequence starts up and loads the OS. I can then disconnect VNC and the VM works normally as I can SSH or RDP (OS depending) and access the VM.

Is this the normal expected behavior or am I missing a setting someplace?

there is a "wait to boot" checkmark that is probably checked for your VM. Uncheck it.

in the devices tab of that particular VM, in the VNC section I believe.

That was it! Thanks for the response. Never thought to even look in the VNC section for boot options when the autostart option was on the main dialog for the VM.
