I just setup a NAS server with FreeNAS-8.2.0-RELEASE-p1-x64 (r11950), my hardware is intel G530+H77+8G DDR3+2T WestDigit green driver+130G Segate 2.5" driver, my switch is Giabit with CAT-7 network lines. I tried to setup CIFS/FTP sharing as docs guided. Now for big size file the copy speed is over 50MB, while when copying lots of small files, the speed dropped dramatically to less than 1MB, each small file takes over 1 seconds which I believe this caused the poor performance. Any help will be appreciated.
