When I upgraded to v11.2, I had serious problems with needing up upgrade my bare-metal OS of ESXi to 6.7.

Everything seemed fine until I delete files from the array, either over SMB or directly via the console. If I delete a folder with say 20 files in it, the whole system goes into meltdown, CPU performance goes to 100% utilisation and the system freezes and then reboots.

It's been going this for some time now, so I've just avoided deleting anything just-in-case it's fixed when updates come out for v11.2... But now it's starting to concern me!

I can write files with no issues at all, I recently "moved" 1tb of movies from one dataset to another and I had zero problems. It only seems to happen during a mass (not that many files though) delete?

I've attached the data that was emailed to me when it fell over.

Anyone got any pointers or ideas what this could be?

11.2 is not stable. It's currently in beta.

Thanks m0nkey_, my mention of "stable" is only to indicate the train I'm currently running. I'm aware it's a beta, I just wondered if anyone has had similar problems or can help point me in the direction of the root cause.

Isn't there a big bug related to deletion that has been fixed for Beta3?
