We have an environment where a user has both a Windows Active Directory account and also an LDAP account for UNIX/Linux.
Our NAS units share directories via both CIFS and NFS.
In our current and previous commercially available systems there was a mechanism / method in place to map the Windows AD user to the LDAP user.
Basically AD\user1 = user1 and was done with wildcards, etc. This allowed the NAS to function in the windows domain and have permissions set windows style, however also allowed access controls to be maintained for users accessing via an NFS mount.
I have searched through the documentation and forums but have not found mention of this functionality in one aspect or another.
Is this possible / not possible?
