I have created users with home directories under pool1/data2/home.

I have created a share leading to pool1/data2/home and ticked to use it as a home share.

For some reason this has spawned 2 shares, called username and homes, both pointing at the same location.

Have I done something wrong here? I just want 1 share called username.

Thanks, Chris.

I'm not sure what you mean by "enclosed in code tags" - I can provide the contents of the smb4.conf file - it has a [Global] section and it has a [homes] section - following is the [homes] section:

[homes]
valid users = %U
path = /mnt/<org name>/Nick.Oliver/%U
comment = Home Directories
printable = no
veto files = /.snapshot/.windows/.mac/.zfs/
writeable = yes
browseable = yes
recycle:repository = .recycle/%U
recycle:keeptree = yes
recycle:versions = yes
recycle:touch = yes
recycle:directory_mode = 0777
recycle:subdir_mode = 0700
vfs objects = zfsacl aio_pthread streams_xattr
hide dot files = yes
guest ok = no
nfs4:mode = special
nfs4:acedup = merge
nfs4:chown = true
zfsacl:acesort = dontcare
