Hello I plan to migrate to new hardware. Is it possible to just add the old 4 HD ZFS pool and use it (HD order should be same)?
Migration from HP Proliant N36L to HP Proliant G8 (using on board controller, no additional one)

Yes, you can physically move a pool to a new system, and the order of connection of the disks doesn't matter.

thanks for your response. What has to be done with the pool than?
I already did it and also saw the disk in the system but the pool itself was not imported. I stopped at that point as I was not sure what would happen while importing it.
I mounted the disks to the old server now for further checking and noting all settings

The cleanest way is to Detach Volume on the old system, NOT marking the disks as new. Then you should be able to Import Volume on the new system.
