Hello,

I'm hoping someone could help me out - I've read one of the more recent nightly releases updates the latest version of netatalk (2.2) so I can again use FreeNAS for my time machine backups. Right now I'm running FreeNAS-8.0-RELEASE-amd64 and I was thinking of updating to FreeNAS-8r7209-AMD64.iso

How do I go about doing this using the Firmware Update in the GUI? And how do I go about finding the SHA256 Sum for the image? Do I use the ISO. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance.

I think the most reliable way would be to use the ISO. You might be better off reflashing with the ISO and entering your settings by hand again because there are minor changes in the database between 8.0 and the nightlies that might make an upgrade have unpredictable results.
