Updating intel NIC drivers

Hi, since my motherboard realtek nic kept shutting down I bought Intel pro/1000 pt dual nic. Install it but couldn't get it work at 1000T... It's switching up and down until it switch to 100TX. I tried different routers, switches cables. Only scenario when it works at 1000t is when I use usb hub... Then I discovered that freenas is using quite old drivers.. Is there any possibility to update the nic drivers or when will be updated in new releases? I have read some post but none of them helped.... Thank you for your answers.

The pro/1000 series are anything up to about twenty years old now, the drivers have been stable a long, long time. The cards have always been very solid and reliable in FreeNAS.
What do you mean by using a USB hub?
Have you tried the other port on your NIC?
Do you get the same when using a short known-good cable to a local switch, no wall ports or anything in the way?

If you do, I'd suspect a bad card.
