Hi,

I posted this question also in the dutch forum. My NAS does allmost do excatly meet my expectations. I've been reading forums and userguides for two weeks now and still don't know if it is possible.
I have shared folders with pictures, music and software on my NAS. I want to be able to put files on my NAS when I'm not at home. So I need write permissions in these folders. What I don't want, is my girlfriend, who has to have access to these files, copying a lot of files while trying to put some files on her laptop when she is not at home. So she only needs reading permissions.
Is this even possible within the same folders with freenas 8.3.1 or do I have to continue putting all my files in a different folder on the NAS and organize my files when I get home?

This isn't a networking issue and should probably be in the sharing forum. It's all about the permissions...
