Trying to set new IP but /etc/netcli only shows login, will not show menu ?

FreeNas Mini XL, Version 11.3

I am trying to set a new IP for the box, but the /etc/netcli app will only show the login screen, when i login i get a shell and no menu. How do i make it show the menu ?
The Connection MOTD banner has the ip addresses of the Jails, but they are all NOT accesable on the network because the IP's here have changed.

How can i change the IP ?

I used dhclient igb0 and that gave me a temporary IP, but i am still curious how to get the menu back up. I prefer to use their method for configuration.
