I have a TrippLite 1500 LCDT ups that does not detect. It supposedly should work with usbhid-ups, but it doesn't. I'm having trouble using the same unit on Fedora 29 as well with NUT. The unit is brand new.

Not trying to insult, but have you tried more than one USB cable?

I had to use a less common USB driver, (which I don't remember now). The menu entries were not correct for me. Had to type it in on the FreeNAS GUI, to get my UPS working.

I tried the cable that came with the unit. There are many TrippLite ups'es, but none seem to match on FreeNAS the LCDT series unit I have.

The above is the output of usb-devices on Fedora 29 with the exact same type and model of ups connected.

I wonder if no UPS is found because my FreeNAS mini is USB3 enabled and too fast?

Are all the USB ports on my FreeNAS mini USB3?
