Transmission and disk cache size

Hi, all.
Have a moment, that I can't understand it. When I stop transmission plugin, change cache size value (for example: from default "4" one to "8"), start service and after it stop again, so I watch, that cache size value have the "4" one in /var/db/transmission/settings.json in Transmission jail.
What I do not so good?

For the plugin I tried to make this setting a little easier to edit. Instead of editing it directly please change it in the FreeNAS WebUI.
FreeNAS WebUI (left Panel) > Plugins > Transmission
