That's a little better.

What protocol do you use to access the files? How are the computers connected - string, ??

If wireless - expect it to be sucky. If wired - tell us the make/model of your NICs. Do you have gigabit networking? If connected to a router or switch tell us the make/model.

If you are trying to access the server over wireless.... well, it's normal to see random disconnects. Wireless was never meant to be highly reliable.

I do use it wireless and gathered that i'd get some connection drops but not as much as it has been. The router/modem is a Virgin Media Super Hub 2 and i have connected to a TP-Link TL-SG1008D Gigabit Switch thats connected to my wired devices like my htpc's

What annoys me is its doing this more than it had done, I have to go in to adapter settings and disable the wireless card and enable and it picks up. Then after a while its gone again.

Well, you can prove if its a wireless problem or not. Disable wireless and connect via a wire. If the drops stop, then its definitely the wireless. But, considering that 99.9% of everyone that has every had a problem that used wireless found the problem to be the wireless, you probably have the problem and the solution.
